How we handle personal information, the choices available to you, and how to reach us with a privacy question or request.
Read our Terms of Service1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Care Connect Technologies, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides MyCaseCare. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information through the MyCaseCare website, applications, and related support and account services.
When a law firm uses MyCaseCare to manage client records, we process those records to provide services to the firm under its instructions and applicable agreements. The firm is responsible for its own privacy practices, professional obligations, and decisions about the client information it collects and uses. Its privacy notice may also apply.
2. Information we collect
The information involved depends on how you interact with MyCaseCare and which features your firm uses.
- Contact and account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, firm details, account identifiers, sign-in information, profile information, and support correspondence.
- Client and case information: intake responses, contact and background details, case details, pain and symptom entries, treatment and appointment information, expenses, receipts, documents, photos, videos, and messages submitted by clients or their authorized firm. These records can include sensitive health, financial, or legal information.
- Referral information: names, contact details, and messages supplied through service referral features. Provide another person’s information only with appropriate permission. The public website’s referral preview is an example that runs in your browser; it does not submit the entered details to MyCaseCare or send an SMS.
- Billing information: billing contacts, subscription details, invoices, payment status, and payment-method references associated with a firm’s account. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy notices.
- Technical and usage information: IP addresses, browser and device details, app versions, device and notification identifiers, access times, feature interactions, diagnostic events, and error information generated when you use the website or services.
Information can come directly from you, from your firm or its authorized users, from a connection you or your firm enables, or from the operation of the service. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in general inquiries.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate MyCaseCare: create and manage accounts; make client records available to authorized users; deliver messaging, documentation, appointment, expense, and referral features; manage subscriptions and billing; and respond to questions and support requests.
We also use technical and usage information to diagnose problems, understand feature use, improve the service, monitor access, and help prevent misuse. Account and contact information supports service notices and communications about MyCaseCare. Information may also be used to meet legal obligations and resolve billing, account, or service disputes.
4. How information is shared
- With your firm and authorized users: information submitted to a firm’s account is available to the firm and users authorized to work with that information. Your firm determines how it uses records for your representation.
- With service providers: providers supporting hosting, storage, messaging, notifications, payment processing, diagnostics, analytics, and customer support process information needed for those functions.
- Through authorized connections: information may pass to or from third-party tools when you or your firm enables an integration or directs a transfer.
- For legal and security purposes: information may be disclosed when required by law or legal process, or as permitted by law to investigate misuse, protect rights and safety, and address security issues.
- At your direction: information may be shared with a recipient you or an authorized firm user selects, subject to the service’s available features.
Third-party services and your firm have their own privacy practices. Review their notices when using those services or deciding what information to provide.
6. Communications and your choices
MyCaseCare and participating firms may send account notices, invitations, reminders, support replies, and other communications associated with the service. Your firm may also use available features for its own communications.
You can control push notification permissions through your device settings. For promotional communications, use an unsubscribe option where provided or contact the sender to request that they stop. You can contact us at info@mycasecare.com about communications from MyCaseCare. Essential account or service notices may still be needed while you use the service.
7. Retention and account closure
Retention depends on the type of information, the purpose for which it is held, the firm’s instructions and service agreement, and applicable legal, accounting, or dispute-related requirements. There is no single retention period for every type of record.
Deactivating an account, ending a subscription, or uninstalling the app does not necessarily erase client records, billing records, logs, or backups. A firm may also retain records in its own systems. Contact your firm about its case records and contact us to ask about account closure, available exports, or deletion of information held by MyCaseCare.
8. Security and sensitive information
MyCaseCare uses account authentication and access controls to help limit access to records. Protect your sign-in credentials, use appropriate device security, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Specific security, confidentiality, and incident-handling obligations may be set out in the agreement covering your firm’s service. This policy does not determine whether any particular record is legally privileged or whether a particular use is subject to health-information laws.
9. Privacy questions and requests
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, to obtain a copy of it, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
Email info@mycasecare.com with your request and enough information to identify your account. Do not include passwords or sensitive case documents in the initial email. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding.
If your request concerns records managed by your law firm, contact the firm directly. We may refer the request to that firm or need its instructions before acting. Requests are subject to applicable law, identity verification, and any lawful retention requirements. You may also contact the privacy regulator responsible for your location where applicable.
10. Children’s information
The public website is directed to firms and people seeking information about MyCaseCare, rather than to children. Client records supplied by a firm may include information about a minor when relevant to a case. Firms and authorized representatives are responsible for ensuring they have the permissions required to provide that information.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without the required permission, contact us at info@mycasecare.com so we can review the circumstances with the relevant firm or representative.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or our information practices change. The current version will be available on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent, those requirements apply.
